Extensions & Marketplace
Add server integrations, payment gateways, modules and themes to WemX from the integrated marketplace or by hand.
Almost everything WemX connects to is an extension. There are three kinds:
| Type | Adds | Managed under |
|---|---|---|
| Server | A provisioning integration, such as Pterodactyl, Proxmox VE or cPanel | Admin → Servers → Installed Servers |
| Gateway | A payment provider, such as Stripe, PayPal or Mollie | Admin → Gateways → Installed Gateways |
| Module | A whole feature, such as Tickets or Downloads, with its own pages, menu items, permissions and scheduled tasks | Admin → Installed Extensions |
The marketplace also offers themes for the client area, admin area, emails and invoices.
Marketplace
Admin → Marketplace is a built-in storefront for resources published on app.wemx.net/marketplace. It's linked to your WemX account and lets you:
- browse and search resources by category (Server, Module, Payment Gateway, Client Theme, Admin Theme, Email Theme, Invoice Theme, Other),
- see each resource's description, versions, price, downloads and compatibility with your WemX version,
- install a resource with one click. WemX downloads it, checks that it's compatible with your version, extracts it into the right folder and enables it,
- see everything you installed under Installed, and update resources when a new version is released. Updates are checked daily.
You need the admin.integrated-marketplace permission to use the marketplace.
Resources you've already bought on wemx.net appear as installable once your account is connected.
Enable or disable an extension
Every installed extension can be turned on or off without deleting it:
- Modules: Admin → Installed Extensions → Enable / Disable
- Gateways: Admin → Gateways → Installed Gateways
- Servers: Admin → Servers → Installed Servers
Enabling an extension runs its setup, for example creating database tables, adding permissions and registering menu items and dashboard widgets. Disabling it removes its menu items and widgets but keeps its data.
Install an extension manually
To install an extension from a ZIP file or one you built yourself:
-
Extract it into the matching folder:
extensions/Modules/{Name}/ ← modules extensions/Servers/{Name}/ ← server integrations extensions/Gateways/{Name}/ ← payment gateways -
Click Reload on the Installed Extensions, Gateways or Servers page so WemX finds the new extension.
-
Click Enable.
Or use the command line:
php artisan extension:discover # find new extensions
php artisan extension:install Tickets # enable, migrate and publish assets
php artisan extension:list # see everything and its statusExtension settings
Extensions with their own settings add a page under Admin → Settings → Third Party.
Extensions run with full access to your installation and database. Only install extensions from the official marketplace or from developers you trust.
