What is WemX?

WemX is self-hosted billing automation software for businesses that sell digital services, such as game servers, VPS, web hosting, SaaS and software licenses. It handles the storefront, checkout, invoices, payments, subscriptions, tax and the automatic provisioning, suspension and termination of services.

Is WemX hosted for me, or do I install it?

You install it on your own server, so your customer and billing data never leaves your infrastructure. A one-line installer sets up PHP, Composer and a web server for you, and a web installer finishes the setup in the browser.

What does it cost?

Hobby is free forever for up to 25 active services. Pro is $15/month for 500 active services and your own brand, Business is $39/month for 5,000, and Enterprise starts at $99/month. Yearly billing gives you two months free, and Pro and Business are also available as a lifetime license.

What counts as an active service?

Any order that hasn’t been terminated, such as a game server, VPS or hosting account, including pending and suspended ones. Terminated orders don’t count, and paid plans have no limit on how many customers sign up.

How do lifetime licenses work?

You pay once and own the license. It includes one year of updates and support; after that you can renew updates yearly ($79 for Pro, $199 for Business). If you don’t renew, WemX keeps working on the last version you installed.

Which payment providers and panels are supported?

Stripe, PayPal (one-time and subscriptions) and account balance are included. Server integrations such as Pterodactyl, Proxmox VE and cPanel, plus more gateways, are available from the integrated marketplace. You can also build your own extensions.

Can I customize it?

Yes. WemX is source-available and built on Laravel 12 and Livewire. Extensions can add pages, menu items, widgets, scheduled tasks and permissions, and themes let you restyle the client area, admin area, emails and invoices without touching the core.

What do I need to run it?

PHP 8.3+, Composer, a database (MySQL 8+, MariaDB 10.3+, PostgreSQL or SQLite) and a web server such as Nginx, Apache or Caddy. Docker and Laravel Cloud guides are available too.
